PedAlign Introduces the New
Fashion Ultraslim Orthotic
November, 2006
Foot comfort and fashionable footwear come together with the new Fashion Ultraslim orthotic now available for order through the PedAlign digital casting system.
Based on customer feedback expressing a desire for thinner orthotics, the new PedAlign fashion Ultraslim orthotic is a semi-rigid Polypropylene shell with a ¼ inch heel cup that includes a heel punch out and a lateral arch cut for a very low profile in the shoe. Sulcus length with a tan leather vinyl top cover and a suede bottom cover the PedAlign fashion Ultraslim orthotic is designed for use with low to medium heels.
Before the PedAlign Ultraslim, patients seeking relief from foot pain through podiatrist-prescribed orthotics often had to choose between wearing fashionable dress or slip on shoes that lack space for additional padding or larger heel cups and the benefits of using an orthotic insert.
The Ultraslim is specifically designed for use with dress or slip-on shoes that do not have a lot of space for additional padding or larger heel cup orthotics. With its support and ease of exchange, the Ultraslim orthotic is great for everyday tighter shoes. This new orthotic device does not replace PedAlign’s popular Fashion insert, but instead offers patients a cobra-like heel punch and a narrower lateral arch that work great in dress or slip-on shoes.
PedAlign, a division of Maxmed Technologies, Inc., is the market leader in digitally produced orthotics in the US. PedAlign provides the only electronic alternative to plaster, delivering superior orthotics without the mess and time connected with plaster molding.
