VP of Product Development
January, 2007
Maxmed Technologies, Inc. named Joseph M. Iglesias to the new position of VP of Product Development effective January 1, 2007.
Maxmed Technologies, Inc. is the leader in creating and tailoring emerging technologies for the healthcare community. Maxmed is the creator of the PedAlign digital casting system for orthotics, the only electronic alternative to plaster, delivering superior orthotics based on podiatrists’ prescriptions without the mess and time connected with plaster molding.
Joseph Iglesias brings a 16-year track record in product and technology development to the newly created position at Maxmed Technologies. His proven track record for innovation and successful delivery of customer-driven products gives him the experience and tools required to develop both new Maxmed technologies as well as the next generation enhancements to the PedAlign digital casting system.
Prior to joining Maxmed Technologies, Joseph Iglesias was the Vice President of Design and Engineering at BioElectronics Corporation. Previously until April 2005, he spent 15 years with Royce Medical Company, where he served as the Manager of Industrial Design during a time where the company experienced its most rapid growth. During his tenure he was granted over 20 patents and was responsible for leading the design of all products sold by the company.
He is well-regarded for his experience in product design and development; transfer of design to manufacture; obtaining and evaluating customer feedback; project planning and management; patent review and execution; offshore manufacturing;; research into new technologies; cost reduction; and design optimization.
Each of these skill sets is relevant to the Maxmed Technologies strategic vision, according to the company’s founder and President Thomas Pichler.
“Maxmed began by transforming digital imaging technology developed by NASA and the Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT into the highly successful PedAlign system for creating superior orthotics by digital casting,” according to Pichler. “Maxmed is now ready to employ new technologies to make PedAlign even better while, at the same time, developing new products that benefit our healthcare systems practitioners and patients.”
“Joseph Iglesias has the knowledge, experience and passion to spearhead that drive,” he said.
